Job-search information

  • Saved and applied jobs
  • Job title, company, location, salary, description, URL, and ID
  • Application stage, date, notes, follow-up activity, and events

Browser-extension information

Relay may process information from job and career pages you visit when necessary to provide extension features. This can include:

  • Page URL and hostname
  • Publicly visible job-posting content
  • Job title, company, salary, location, description
  • Employment type and posting date
  • Applicant-tracking-system provider
  • Application-start and submission-confirmation signals
  • Extension version and browser family
  • Technical error and diagnostic information

Relay does not use the extension to collect passwords, payment-card information, private form answers, demographic application responses, or unrelated browsing activity.

Practice information

  • Voice recordings when voice practice is used

  • Practice-session context
  • AI-generated feedback
  • Interview and networking practice history

Raw voice recordings are deleted after transcription unless you explicitly choose to retain them.

AI processing

Relay uses AI to:

  • Analyze resumes and job descriptions
  • Generate job-match explanations
  • Produce interview questions and feedback
  • Draft networking messages
  • Recommend next actions
  • Summarize career-related information

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your circumstances. You should review AI-generated content before relying on or sending it. Relay does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, salary outcomes, or recruiter responses.

How information is shared

Relay may share data with service providers only as needed to operate the service, such as:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions
  • Hosting and deployment providers
  • AI-processing providers
  • Error-monitoring and operational analytics providers
  • Email-delivery providers when email features are enabled

A current subprocessors list will be published here as the service matures.

Relay does not sell personal information. Relay does not use browser-extension data for targeted advertising. Relay does not transfer personal or sensitive information for unrelated advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or data-broker purposes.

Relay may disclose information:

  • When required by law
  • To protect users, Relay, or others
  • To investigate fraud or abuse
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, subject to applicable safeguards

Chrome Web Store limited-use disclosure

Relay's use and transfer of information received from Google Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Relay uses extension permissions and page information only to provide and improve Relay's disclosed job-saving, application-tracking, resume-analysis, and related user-facing features.

Relay does not use or transfer extension data for personalized advertising, retargeting, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated profiling.

Relay limits human access to user data except when the user provides specific consent for support, access is required for security or legal compliance, or data has been aggregated and de-identified for internal operations.

Data retention

  • Account information is retained while the account is active.
  • Job-search records are retained until deleted by you or your account is closed.
  • Resume files and parsed resume information are retained until deleted by you or your account is closed.
  • Raw practice audio is deleted after transcription unless you opt to save it.
  • Security and operational logs may be retained for a limited period.
  • Backups may take additional time to expire after deletion.

Security

Relay uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS and authenticated access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may:

  • Access and update profile information
  • Replace or delete resumes
  • Delete saved jobs and applications
  • Delete practice transcripts
  • Disconnect the extension
  • Request account deletion
  • Request access, correction, or deletion where applicable
  • Withdraw optional marketing consent
  • Manage non-essential cookies

California notice

California residents may have rights to know, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, subject to applicable law and exceptions. Relay does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Users in these regions may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis. Possible processing grounds include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.

International transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than your country. Relay and its providers use legally recognized safeguards where required.

Children

Relay is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users must be at least 16 to create an account unless a parent or guardian has provided any consent required by applicable law.

Changes

Relay may update this policy and will update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in-product or by email.
